So

I got my paladin to 68 on WOW last night! Now I can go to Northrend and hopefully get to 80 fast. I already dual spec’d ret and holy so I can help heal at 80.

Speaking of healers we have finally recruited some to replace the 3 we lost! :)

I don’t know why I have neglected posting here. That’s going to change though. So what have I been doing for all this time!? Play World of Warcraft of course.

My hunter hit level 80 a long time ago. Ever since I’ve been running Heroics constantly. And Raids when I can. I was in a guild with my friends for a while but they wouldn’t let us group together in 10 mans so we decided to leave and make our own guild.

Kamele, her boyfriend and sister and my friend Jon transfered/rerolled on Gurubashi. So now we have our own 10 man group and our own guild. I’m really pleased with it so far. Other then a little drama in the beginning we’re doing really well. I started recruiting more people today also.

We have ventrilo and rapidraid on our forums so scheduling raids is pretty easy.

I maxed leatherworking and dropped skinning for jewelcrafting for the special gems. I hit over 4k damage in Naxx with AP gems but yesterday I switched to agility and T7. I still have to test out my damage now. I’m not sure if it will be better or worse.

Team Fortress 2

I know I have’nt posted in a while but that will change soon. I recently purchased TF2 off of valve. (ya I know late right? ;( ) The game is really fun and has sucked out some of my time lately.

The games graphics are a bit cartoonish (you will be reminded of the incredibles), however that’s a nice change from all the realistic super graphic intense games that are expected these days. Despite these graphics, it still looks really cool, everything is nicely done.

So you jump into the game, at first you might be overwhelmed by the whopping nine classes, but spend a few rounds playing each and you will get used to them. In fact this game encourages you to play classes your team is lacking, without a well balanced team, you will not win a game. There are no overpowered classes in this game, there isn’t a class that will single handedly destroy every player on the opposing team. Well if you are skilled and the entire other team sucks maybe. Each class has it’s role, I’ll give you a small breakdown of each of the classes.

Offense:
Scout: This class is very fast, and the only class that can double jump. He sports a scattergun(a fast shooting shotgun with a wide range) and a pretty strong pistol. As well as a baseball bat for melee. He’s hard to hit but has low hitpoints. Engineers sentry makes short work of him.

Soldier: He has more hitpoints than a scout. His weapons are a rocket launcher and a shotgun. Because of his more durable hitpoints, and his weapons splash damage, its recommended for new players.

Pyro: This guy devestates at short range, his flamethrower can light an entire team on fire. However if someone is ignited and moves out of your flame, they wont die very quickly, in fact if you hadnt had the flame on them very long, they probably wont die, unless you pull out your shotgun and get some shots into them. However if you can corner an enemy or a group, saygoodnight. Best paired with a Medic with uber to devestate an entire enemy group.

Defense:
Demoman: This is the only class that has grenades, in fact its a grenade launcher, very strong, good for taking out entrenched sentry’s or enemy snipers and heavys. He also has a stickybomb gun, fire it and it will stick bombs anywhere, ceiling, floos, walls, right click to detonate, good for defending points in objective based games.

Heavy: This guy sports a very large mini gun, and the most health out of all the classes. Good for suppressing fire to keep enemies at bay, or take out a group. Best used at close-mid range, also good to be paired up with a medic, even better a medic with kritzkrieg!

Engineer: This is a very important person, without at least 1 engineer you will have a hard time. They can build sentry guns, which will gun down any enemies it sees. They can build dispensers anywhere on the field to restore friendlies health and ammo. They can build teleporters that friendlies can use to get from the base to the frontlines quickly. THeir worst enemy is the spy. (Theres a spy sappin mah sentry!)

Support:
Medic: These guys are important, they have a medigun that will continously heal the life of a comrade, and also boost them to 150% max health. This can make a heavy gunner hard to take down! Also the medigun has a special feature, after using it for a while it will fill up its ubercharge to 100%, right click to use this and you can make you and whoever you are using it on invincible for a short amount of time. Best used with pyros or heavies for devestating enemy teams, or with a demoman or soldier to destroy enemy sentries.

Sniper: The sniper, twitch aiming is still good with this class on low hitpoint enemies with good headshot aim, however the bane of us twitch aimers. You have to keep the scope up and let it charge to do full damage. Also the laser pointer can be seen by enemies so they will be wary of you. They have a machine pistol and a kukri as backup. If you like to twitch aim, note that an uncharged headshot will most likely kill anyone but heavies but it may not. Turn off autozoom to keep the sniper from rezooming after your shot.

Spy: The hardest class to master, but the most rewarding to play. Enemy have 4 entrenched sentry guns? No problem. Send a spy or two in. These guys can disguise themselves as enemy players, use their cloaking device to slip into the enemy team unnoticed, and sap their sentries! A sap will disable and eventually destroy engineers structures. They have a revolver that is pretty strong especially on headshot. But the weapon to use is the butterfly knife, all it takes is a stab in the back to kill any enemy. Disguise yourself, cloak in behind them, and stab stab stab!

There is an achievement system, such as doing so much dmg with a pyro, or killing 5 enemies in a row, healing with a medi, etc. There are over 120 at the moment although most are for the medic and pyro class. You will be able to unlock new weapons for your characters. Not necessarily stronger but differnt. For instance the Heavies alternate minigun does 25% less damage, but slows enemies movement speed.

This game is really addicting, I suggest giving it a buy, only 20$ on valve. There is

Maintenance

There’s maintenance today to fix the Arena problems on WOW. I figured it was a good idea to use this time to catch up on my blogs. I’ve been playing WOW so much since I got my Desktop back that I’ve been neglecting them.

I started doing battlegrounds on my 65 BE Hunter and it’s fun as hell. I really missed PVPing. I like being a Marksman when everyone else has switched to beast master. People kill my pet then forget about me while I stand back and crit like crazy earning killing blows. X3

I can finally play again.

Sorry for the lack of updates! My Desktop was temporarily out of service. It needed two new Hard Drives and a new RAID controller to be exact. I also got 2 new GB’s of RAM. :) Now playing WOW is much easier. It will be even nicer once I can afford a GOOD new video card instead of the cheap piece of crap I got after WOTLK came out. I plan on WOWing my weekend away now, and getting my 62 Hunter as high level as I can by Tuesday. ( as soon as I’m finished with cleaning my room of course. ) :)

Guess what!?

I got my Zebra Epic Mount! It’s awesome. I was really sick of riding those gay hawkstriders. lol

After that I decided I needed a new pet. Since I party a lot on my Horde characters I use wolfs for furious howl. I had a rare worg but the worg sprites are ugly. So I went looking for Snarler. He’s a rare black wolf. Only black wolf in the game I think. The other black ones are worgs. I love him! yay

Granting levels

Aimey December-17-2008 ADD COMMENTS

In my last post I was talking about linked accounts. I mentioned how you can "give levels" to the person who recruited you. A level 60 can give 30 levels. So overall you get to give your level divided by 2. However you can’t give above your current level. I took a screenshot of Justin granting me a level from Ryan’s warlock.

Losers

So.. Justin and I managed to get my Druid and Ryan’s rogue to 53 tonight so far. Questing in Ungoro has become rather hard though considering there’s a level 60 Orc Death Knight following us around and killing us. Last time we managed to get him down to a quarter life.

What is a 60 death knight in full blue Death knight gear doing running around killing people questing in Ungoro when he should be in outlands questing himself? Obviously he has no life. I really despise people like that. They’re everywhere too. On both Horde and Alliance.

I was dancing with two Tauren Druids on the boat from ratchet to Booty Bay. I’m in the middle.

Linked Leveling on WOW

Aimey December-13-2008 ADD COMMENTS

A lot of people don’t seem to know about “linked accounts”. It’s extremely helpful. If you play with friends and invite them with one of those “recruit a friend” ticket’s. If the friend upgrades his trial account from your recruiting to a real account you and your friend become linked. You’re then linked for three months. During these three months you get tripple experience when partied! Justin and I got to 60 in no time at all doing this. ( You’re only linked until level 60. ) You can also give free levels to the person who linked you. Half the levels your character has. I made a 60 Hunter. That mean’t that I could stand there hitting “grant a level” and get Justin’s warlock all the way to 60! If you make 2 60’s you could give them levels on a character all the way from 1 - 60.

You also get a free mount. It’s a Zebra. Some free play time as well. I linked to both my boyfriend and my son but sadly I didn’t get to take as much advantage of the time as I would have liked. Like the Goblins say. “Time is money, friend!”. Every time I play hardcore hours I fall behind on work and go broke. :(

During the time I was linked with Justin I made a 60 Blood Elf Hunter, 60 Blood Elf mage, and 60 Blood Elf Death Knight. Also a 45 priest. Now that I’m linked to my son he wants alliance characters since his Dad plays alliance. Justin has a 70+ Rogue there on Alliance too. I’m making a Druid and paladin and my son is making a Gnome Rogue and Human Warrior. Justin and I are trying to get them both to 60 before Ryan and I unlink on the first.

We’ve done all the Alliance leveling through instances. Justin’s been running us through on his 70+ Rogue. Right now in Zul’farrak we’re getting 480+ experience each elite monster! How amazing is that? That’s at level 44.

This mask made me laugh by the way. I’m a feral Druid so I’m going to disenchant it. But I just had to take a screen shot.

Oh and on thing I forgot to add about linked accounts.. You can summon each other once every hour!

The Drunken Blacksmith

Aimey December-10-2008 4 COMMENTS

My six year old son plays World Of Warcraft with me, his Dad, my boyfriend, his uncle, his step mom and step sister. This week he made a human Warrior. He’s been playing WOW for over a year now but since he could barely read I never taught him about professions. He mostly just liked to PVP and do instances. Well when he was leveling his new warrior in Goldshire he found the blacksmith trainer and became a blacksmith. He also discovered cheap beer at the darkmoon fair. Now for the past week all he’s been doing on WOW is drinking cheap beer, Mining Fargold Deep Mines and blacksmithing. It’s kind of funny. I logged on his account this morning and this is what I found. His action bars filled with alcohol and blacksmith skills. LOL. I guess he wnats to play a drunken blacksmith.
